Cookies. Milk. Afternoon showers. Looking at the shoreline through the window. That was just the medicine needed the other day. Even if just for the enticing aroma of warm chocolate wafting through the house. I did not know the power of chocolate chip cookies until I moved to the US though. We don't really do those back home. We have eclairs, macarons, financiers. These I knew as my pick up-feel better-never let me down treats. Until I met B.
Turns out I married a
I must say, after years of marriage and oodles of batches behind me that I get it. the French have their baguette and chocolate bar as a snack, here it's cookies and milk....and I love that too. Unlike B. I am good after a couple of cookies but I had to find a gluten free recipe now and one that he would not even blink twice about trying. And liking.

I really had not particularly trying to find one until the good folks at Threadless contacted me about a promo they were doing. I have a personal rule not to do product review here, mostly because I hate to commit to a deadline for one when work is already full of deadlines as it is. But it's Threadless tees...I love them. I bought my first one four years ago and probably bought over a dozen for friends and family since then. They are awesome. Different, fun and they promote artists and individual talent.
Before I agreed I checked the selection they wanted to promote, trying to tie it in somehow with this blog and give you something back at the same time in the form of a new recipe. You can guess I fell in love with the Cookie Loves Milk design. And I had the perfect reason to search for that gluten free chocolate chip recipe my repertoire was missing.
I picked the most reliable gluten free source I know, my friend Shauna from Gluten Free Girl and The Chef. I know the extent with which her recipes are developed and the love she puts in making them for us around. If you doubt it, watch this video trailer for their upcoming cookbook. See what I mean? I picked her cookie recipe in the Blog Aid cookbook we both participated in to raise funds for the Haiti this past winter. Tons of your favorite bloggers contributed pictures and recipes! And dorky as I am, I baked in my brand new Cookie Loves Milk tee....

You know what I love about that tee-shirt? It brings a smile on everyone's face. Even the cranky bank teller giggled. Five seconds of giggles in your day and you have already done a great deal for your inner self. Smiling. The good for the soul kind of workout. Something I am definitely happy to promote and stand behind. Not to mention that this tee is so comfortable to wear I almost went to bed with it..eheheh! The flip-flops that came along? Just what I needed for the beach...
But that's not all... Threadless has nicely offered to giveaway a "Cookie Loves Milk" tee shirt to one lucky reader of this blog (they unfortunately ran out of flip-flops) and I am am adding a copy of the Blog Aid - Recipes For Haiti cookbook where the following recipe comes from. To enter:
- leave a comment on this post (why not tell me your favorite cookie?) between today Wednesday August 11th and Sunday August 15th, midnight eastern US time.
- one entry per person, duplicates will not be published
- no anonymous entry. Sign Zorro or Bambi if you must...

36-hour Chocolate Chip Cookies - originally adapted from David Leite from Leite's Culinaria, now adapted from Shauna's version.
Note: Read more about why 36 hours in the fridge makes them better here.
1 cup sorghum flour
1 cup corn starch (you can sub tapioca starch)
1 cup potato starch
1 cup millet flour
1 tablespoon xanthan gum
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
2 1/2 sticks unsalted butter, at room temperature
1 1/4 cups brown sugar
1 cup plus granulated sugar
2 large eggs, at room temperature
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups chocolate chips or chocolate chunks
Sea salt
In a large bowl, whisk together each of the flours and "starches" along with the xanthan gum, baking soda and baking powder.
In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat together the butter and the sugars on medium speed for a couple of minutes. then mix for 1 minute more. Don’t overmix. the eggs, 1 at a time, beating well in between each addition and scraping the sides and bottom of your mixer bowl if necessary. Add the vanilla extract and beat an extra 30 seconds.
Add the flour mixture into the batter, 1/2 cup at a time, mixing just until the dry ingredients are coming together. Add the chocolate and mix briefly to incorporate.
Cover the dough with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 36 hours.
When ready to bake, preheat the oven to 350°F, position a rack in the middle of the oven and line baking sheets with parchment paper or a non-stick baking mat.
Scoop your preferred size of dough balls onto your baking sheet, 2 inches apart from each other. Sprinkle the tops with the sea salt.
Bake the cookies about 12-15 minutes, depending on the size of your cookies or until golden brown. Let cool the cookies 10 minutes on the baking sheets before transferring to cooling racks.

«Oldest ‹Older 1 – 200 of 473 Newer› Newest»I am definitely going to make these for my gluten free friends!
Such an adorable tee! I love it. With chocolate chip cookies, it's the same for us, but my big challenge was to re-create mom's cookies that we grew up on. I really do need to try these ones. They're gorgeous :).
cranberry & oatmeal is my all time favorite, my mom used to make it all the time and when I was feeling nostalgic abroad, I'd make a batch and have it with tea :)
oh, chocolate chip cookies are definitely the best... I guess I am really an American. :)
My favorite cookies are the compost cookies from Momofuku Milk Bar in NYC :) Thanks for the giveaway!
I love Threadless tees! And I love fresh from the oven oatmeal raisin cookies... heavy on the raisins. Throw in some dried cranberries and I'll eat the whole cookie sheet.
I love cookies! And these look amazing. My favorites are cookies made with cake mix, cleverly nicknamed "Cakies." They are so delicious and incredibly easy to make!
My favorite are kahlua coffee chocolate chip, OMG, the best ever!
I am definitely a COOKIE MONSTER! I could use one right now...
My favorite is Molasses Ginger Chocolate Chip Cookies. Yummmmm!
any cookie with chocolate works for me. :)
My husband and I LOVE flourless chocolate pecan cookies! They make us think of brownie edges with nuts =)
Oh I want to make these... I love chocolate chip cookies!!!
Chocolate chip, for sure! What a great giveaway : )
What does the 36-hour refrigeration do?
it's hard to tell what's my favourite cookie... I'm not much of a cookie person! I do love the shirt, though. And I do love your pictures! You could probably make me want to eat even cauliflowers, if you posted about them!!
I'm a chocolate chip girl myself! Warm out of the oven, with a tall glass of milk...there's nothing better!
Haven't had them in years, but warm butterscotch oatmeal cookies can make my week.
Why is it so hard to pick a favorite cookie? today I pick peanut butter.
Mimi
My favorite cookies are any that include chocolate in some shape or form :) I'm not picky!
My husband is the chocolate chip cookie monster and would be happy if all I ever made for him everyday was that. I have never made a gluten free version so I will def try and test out on him.
definitely Chocolate Chip!
My favourite cookie of all time is a chocolate chip shortbread cookie that my Mum used to make back in the early '90s... she'd freeze batches of them and I'd just sneak them out of the freezer still icey. I LOVED them.
We don't make them anymore because I love them a little too much, and could happily eat 6-8 in one sitting.
My favorite homemade cookies these days are chocolate chip madeleines. Thanks for the giveaway.
I have a friend who eats gluten free and she will love me for passing along this recipe! Thanks Helen!
i have this recipe for almond rocca cookies with toffee and chocolate... it has to be my favorite cookie because it has the requisite chocolate but its also different. yum!
My fave is of course chocolate chip! Anything with coconut is a close second.
You can't go wrong with chocolate chip, but I think my favorites are cookies I found on another blog that have dried apricots, almonds, white and semisweet chocolate chips in them. I was sure they would be too full of stuff, but instead they taste fantastic!
I have a friend who makes the best molasses cookies in the universe. I don't think I've ever actually seen them after they've cooled...we normally gobble them up as they come out of the oven, sticking our fingers into as many as we can to "mark" them as ours :D
They look so so good!
I'm a cookie monster too (I love walnut cookies) and
I was desperately looking for a gluten-free cookie recipe that doesn't disappoint. I think I've found it :)
My mom's chocolate chip...
I love Threadless tee's! I must own at least 5 and I buy them for friends and family all the time! Also I can't believe those cookies are gluten-free! They look just like the ones my mom used to bake. Must give them a try!
Milk and cookies (choc chip cookies!) are the best comfort food.
i love oatmeal choc chip!
favorite cookie? any homemade cookie and with chocolate. Chocoholic I'm afraid.
The Tshirt is unbelievably cute!
chewy molasses spice cookies get me every time! tastes like fall (favorite season) and i can make the whenever i want!
I'm a cookie addict and my favorite ones are lemon cookies - love the photos, Helen! And the T shirt is adorable!
I made these cookies for my friend's wedding last year - they were a huge hit, totally worth having to cart all the ingredients onto a plane from WI to Boulder :)
I troll around Threadless all the time, and have loved that design for way too long to not own it. What is wrong with me? My favorite cookie is a jam thumbprint cookie - only my great grandma's recipe will do!
Toll House Chocolate Chip cookies - my favorite (and I don't even like chocolate).
I absolutely adore oatmeal cookies with chocolate chips and nuts! The texture and the flavor are the best!
I love chocolate chip, but I especially love a slight variation on them for nostalgic reasons. My grandma always makes chocolate chip cookies with Smarties (chocolate candies, like M&Ms)at Christmas. They're a family favourite, and get wolfed down pretty quickly. I can't have gluten now, so both Smarties and tradiational chocolate chip cookies are out, but I'll have to try these out soon. :)
Another favourite is chocolate chip and toffee bit cookies. Mmmm.
i don't have a favorite cookie anymore becuase GF just aren't the same for me, at least the way i make now without xgum. but...i guess i used to love the pink and white circus animal cookies with the sprinkles.
In Brazil there is a naturally GF type of cookie called sequilhos. don't know how to make them...maybe that's a good project :)
My favorite is definitely oatmeal raisin..
I will probably go with white chocolate chip macadamia nut (especially with crasins thrown in) but lately any thing i make from "vegan cookies invade the cookie jar" is right up there =) yay for brilliant chefs who experiment for the rest of us!
Madeline cookies are my all time favorite...adorable giveaway...thanks!!!
ramvinayak_81@rediffmail.com
Chocolate Chip Cookies are my favorite!
Oh my goodness there is something so sweet about taking chocolate chip cookies so seriously, it made me laugh a little at work (in a place that is too quiet to laugh out loud). I have battles with finding cookies that aren't too sweet, so for me a recipe for zuchini lemon cookies is my favorite one on hand (though, if we are going to split hairs, they are a little closer to tiny cakes). Thanks for all the lovely photographs!
Chocolate chip. Plain and simple, they always remind me of my grandma.
Definitely the peanut butter cookies from Deb at smitten kitchen!
If you need my email it's vasilios[AT]duove.com
Chocolate chip cookies for sure!
I just made chocolate chip cookies the other day! Great to know that there is a super gluten free version for gluten free friends!
Raspberry thumbprints, followed closely by Girl Scout Samoas.
I have a GF friend, I will have to make these cookies for here, I know she misses her Chocolate Chip Cookies.
I'd have to say that most often, my favorite cookie is the one that I'm eating at the time :)
Although, Sour Cream Sugar Cookies, Chocolate Chip Cookies, Peanut Butter Cookies, & Molasses Cookies are all up there!
I LOVE Shauna's GF chocolate chip cookies - I've made them several times from the BlogAid cookbook, but still - my true favorite cookie is the humble molasses cookie - it's the sweet/salty balance that I simple adore.
My cookie monster boyfriend would love that t-shirt! My favourite cookie is definitely the classic chocolate chip!
caramel chocolate chip :)
My favorite cookie's usually chocolate chip, but my all-time favorite ever are the peanut butter chocolate chip that the sandwich cart lady who used to sell at my office building would have. I miss her!
Anzac Biscuits are my go-to - they remind me of home, celebrating Australia Day with family/friends - one of my cures for homesickness :) (Also great dunked in a nice cup of tea!)
I love no bake chocolate oatmeal cookies. The recipe comes from the back of my Gradmas cookbook and is hand writen by my great greandma. I've never found another like it.
A favorite cookie, that is so hard. I have three:
1 - The Nestle chocolate chip cookie recipe, adapted with half milk, half bittersweet chocolate. I roll the dough in chopped nuts (pecans/walnuts)before baking, so they get a lovely toasted flavor.
2 - Almond cookies sandwiched with raspberry jam and dusted with confectioner's sugar (a Valentine's day treat).
3 - Oatmeal Cherry Chocolate Chunk Cookies with Chopped Pecans
Gingerbread cookies!
I have a serious addiction to chocolate cookies with peanut butter chips in them. A childhood favorite, I could eat a whole batch. Instead, I give them away as fast as possible to get them out of my sight and mouth.
I'll have to try these soon! My all time favorite cookies are peanut butter though.
I like your adjustments. I also swap out the amaranth in Shauna's recipe, and prefer corn starch to tapioca starch. Looking forward to trying it!
My favorite cookies are jam thumbprint cookies, and I haven't yet found the go-to gluten-free recipe for them. I like the texture the jam gets when it's baked. :)
A true American through and through... I love a chew chocolate chip cookie (with a dash of cinnamon).
what a great t-shirt!would love to wear it someday:))
my favourite are orange-chocolatechip-cookies. yummy. have a good day! best from berlin, anja
I have a chocolate chip cookie recipe I've been tweaking for a while. I think I've finally got it perfect. There's nothing better than chocolate chip.
Thank you for the gluten free addition - my doctor recently prescribed that I cut gluten from my diet so this is a wonderful start. Oh goodness, I don't know if I can choose just one favorite... After flip-flopping between everything from oatmeal raisin to double chocolate, I'm split between snickerdoodle an white chocolate macadamia. They're so delicious, yet both utterly sinful. I suppose I'll go with the white chocolate macadamia because there's nothing like that satisfying crunch and end of sweetness to get me going. Speaking of which, I ought to go make some now...
Uhm,cookies,cookies,cookies.
I love many, many types, but vegan chocolate chip cookies are heaven!!
I like making all kinds, but nothing beats a chocolate chip cookie for me -- when it's a good one :) Lebovitz's Ready for Dessert has my favorite recipe :)
Love the post....I am definitely on board with the chocolate chip but snickerdoodles and that cold glass of milk can do it too. I can smell them now.
I like my chocolate chip cookies frozen. After they are cooked.
What a sweet t-shirt. My favorite cookie is chocolate chip too. It's a hard one to beat. Someday maybe soon I'll attempt your macarons. Your food is always so lovely.
yum! my favorite cookie would have to be oatmeal chocolate chip (fresh out of the oven, of course, with a big glass of milk)!
I have two cookie monsters in my house, a giant one and the other one is teeny tiny :-)
Though I've never tried making gluten free cookies but gotts give this one a try.
Thanx for sharing!
I think my favorite are snickerdoodles, but I most often make oatmeal chocolate chip - because that's my husband's favorite.
Love threadless! Love cookies! Match made in heaven. I love chocolate chip oatmeal cookies, and oatmeal cranberry is delicious as well. I guess oatmeal in anything is a winner :)
full disclosure: i opened this post and cheated. i scrolled down to look at the photos before reading. and here's what i said to myself, "i don't know what the giveaway is, but i want that t-shirt !"
et voila !! ;) love me my t-shirts, and looooove me my chocolate chip cookies. total cookies & milk girl over here, and also married to a cookie monster. only, he's the french one in the couple - so i'll have to take the blame for that ! haha ! great post !
Chocolate shortbread cookies are yummy, when I have the time to make them...
This recipe sounds great!
Yum! My special chocolate chip cookies are my favorite - even better with peanut butter smeared on top!
Those Chocolate Chip Cookies look sooo good! Mine are always kind of misshapen, but I think that's a good excuse to try out more cookie recipes (and of course test the results). My favorites are chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies - make that very chewy - and Oatmeal Raisin Cookies without butter. Make me smile as soon as the smell wafts through the kitchen...
Mexican Hot Chocolate Cookie from Everyday Food Magazine
My favorite cookie, is plain old chocolate chips, hot from the oven ;)
Thanks! :)
I like my cookies chewy in the middle and crispy on the edge, or buttery and crumbly. Right now I'm on a citrus-y kick, but my stand-by favorite is the snickerdoodle. :)
My very favorite cookies are what I like to call Cowboy cookies. Although my mother corrected me the other day and said they were more of a ranger cookie. They are Chocolate Chip cookies with amlonds, pecans, coconut and cornflakes. Delicious! I am not sure what makes them Cowboy-like or Ranger-like but I think Cowboy sounds more rough and tough then Ranger. :)
i LOVE that shirt! it's one of my favourite threadless tees, by a great artist. so glad to see it being promoted.
my favourite cookies... hmm... i once made these sugar/chocolate swirl cookies that were pretty great. most fun to bake, and came out so pretty!
but to eat? i've gotta go with the classic chocolate chip. or maybe oatmeal chocolate chip. yummy!
Oh boy! I love CHOCOLATE CHIP cookies, and I love Threadless t-shirts. This would be awesome.
Thanks for the great blog and pictures.
I will definitely be making these cookies soon. Thanks for the nudge Helen! :)
Coconut cookies. I still haven't succeeded in mimicing the one that I ate in India.
okay...that t-shirt could not be more perfect for my own cookie monster husband. that image is the epitome of how he feels when he has cchip cookies and a tall glass of milk in his hands!
My favourite cookies are the ones Laura Bush did for the Family circle contest...yummy! And I LOVE that t-shirt! It makes me smile, just as you said :)
Chocolate chip pecan! I might make those this afternoon!
Love the shirt! Do macarons count as a cookie? 'Cuz, if so, my favorite'd be pistachio macarons. If they don't really count as a cookie, I'm gonna stick with a chewy molasses cookie.
That's adorable! My favorite cookie has a bit of everything - chocolate, oatmeal, peanut butter and nuts. Yum!
My favorite cookie is oatmeal chocolate chip or raisin. But these look pretty tasty!
I do love chocolate chip cookies. In Martha Stewart's Baking Handbook, she has a great recipe for white chocolate butterscotch cookies which are even better if you add toffee bits to them! Also, I have a great recipe for macadamia nut and crystallized ginger cookies which are divine! They have the texture of these French cookies with dried currants in them... Maybe I simply love all cookies! I don't think I can pick a favorite :)
Oh - I love oatmeal chocolate chip cookies - no raisins!
Pumpkin cookies with a light icing. Delicious (and always in season in my opinion).
The amazing Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies from Smitten Kitchen (though I sub dark chocolate for the white and let them age a bit like your 36 hour ones!)
I love that shirt! makes me giggle already...
Hi Helene, cute T-shirt! my favorite cookies are cranberry oatmeal, the bigger and the chewier the better and of course with a glass of chilled milk.
Chocolate chip cookies were the first thing I ever baked. Every once in a while, I always have to go back to it. Nothing beats a classic.
I love Almonette cookies. My mom and I both do and we will hide them from everyone else.
The shirt is so cute!
Chocolate chip cookies will always be my favorite! Such a cute t-shirt.
i like a chewy oatmeal chocolate chip, or oatmeal cranberry white chocolate chip. really i just like cookies.
Odd, I woke up this morning with a chocolate chip cookie craving! And even in this 90 degree weather my lovely husband will have some waiting for me when I get home - he promised!
Oh, that sounds delicious! And it looks so great. Your pictures are just gorgeous!
Mmmm... just chocolate chip cookies, really. Simple. I love it.
I think my favorite cookie is probably chocolate chocolate chip cookies, or the oatmeal chocolate chip cookies my mom made when I was little.
I always find that refrigerating the dough makes the cookies taste a million times better.
Yum :)
I'm too a chocolate chip cookie lover!
I don't know what I want more, that t-shirt or those chocolate chip cookies!
Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Cookies hands down!
Being the boring person I am (jk), my favorite cookie IS the chocolate chip. Best I've ever had--at Levain's Bakery in NYC! Jacques Torres is a close second and the two cookies are nothing alike.
The tee shirt is awesome!
My favorite cookies are anything with oatmeal, some nuts and chocolate!!!
hmmmnnnn yummy
My favorite are peanut butter, warm from the oven ...mmm. I may have to try these, too, though!
Oatmeal raisin!
Peanut butter meringue cookies. So good.
By the way, you take the prettiest food pictures.
Whole wheat chocolate chip oatmeal cookies are great!
Ah what a cute t-shirt! I have to say it's usually a toss-up between chocolate chip cookies or sugar cookies. As long as it's fresh out of the oven almost any cookie is delicious!
I love all cookies (without raisins, bleh!) Such a cute shirt! I wonder if I'll get lucky since today is my birthday??? Doubt it! I'll have a cookie instead. :-)
My favorite cookie changes depending on the day. Today its chocolate chip, because I'm inspired by this post to make some.
I will have to save this recipe for my gluten-free friends! My favorite cookie is oatmeal chocolate chip, especially my grandmother's recipe (with coconut and walnuts).
Cute shirt! My favorite is white chocolate macadamia nut!
Chocolate-chocolate chip is my favorite. Thanks for the giveaway!!!
adiluria [at] yahoo [dot] com
These look great! I'm passing your link on to my gluten free friends. My favorite cookies are the chewy ginger ones. Yum! They smell like Christmas!
My favorite cookie is chocolate chip, especially when they are warm and gooey. Love your site!
i'm totally making these!
my favorite cookies are oatmeal chocolate chip. buttery, crisp on the outside and soft inside. yum.
I LOVE chewy peanut butter cookies with little pieces of peanut in them, plus chocolate chips. To die for :)
I would say it has got to be white chocolate and macademia nut cookies.
i am a chocolate chip cookie baker. i grew up on my mother's, who baked them regularly for my father and goodness forbid we children eat DAD's cookies!
now i bake my own, having found better cookie recipes than my mom's and my husband will eat an entire batch before they're cold. :)
Who can resist a gooey chocolate chip cookie? That has to be the best classic American cookie. But the French side of me craves the buttery richness of a palet breton!
Cute tee! I love chocolate chip pecan cookies.
I love anything with oatmeal, especially oatmeal-dried cranberry cookies.
That shirt is so cute! I think granola chocolate chip or peanut butter chocolate chip are my favorite cookies to make. I've made this 36 hour recipe and often think of making it again as a special treat. I would love to wear the shirt while I bake!
Snickerdoodles are definitely my favorite - i could eat a dozen in one sitting.
Love the shirt! Thanks for the giveaway!
Has to be my mum's sugar cookies at Christmas. My family has great fun debating the merits of cooking them till they're crisp and the sugar caramelizes versus soft (the way my dad likes them).
Definitely ooey, gooey chocolate chip cookies! They just can't be beat.
Yum! I'm recently gluten-free and can't wait to try this :)
man, I plan to bake cookies next week end and you read my mind....I badly want to eat some nut and chocolate chips ones now.....
I love cookies in general... but oatmeal chocolate chip is a lifelong love. It's the chewiness that the oats give that makes it the best!
my worlds are colliding ... I found you through Shauna (the puff pastry post!), I live in Threadless' home town (and even know a few of their employees) ... how'd you all find each other?
That being said, I have to say Shauna's recipe (the one you adapted) is my newest favorite. And a new favorite among my friends who all request it for special events ... not konwing/caring/understanding what gluten-free means. They just love the cookies ... btw, for a real treat, try smoked sea salt. Just sayin'
Mexican wedding cakes. I think...
Cheers,
*Heather*
i love oatmeal scotchies (butterscotch, not booze!)
Love Threadless tees!! Definitely am a fan of Chunky Chocolate Chip cookies, but every Christmas I make Choco-Scutter Botch cookies for neighbors and friends, they are made with oatmeal, chocolate chunks, butterscotch chips, chocolate chips and walnuts! Mmmm tasty :)
i love oatmeal cookies.
Nothing beats a solid chocolate chip. My childhood favorites were white chocolate macadamia nut nibblers from Mrs. Field's counter, or a chewy lemondrop cookie from the food cart outside one of the shopping clusters my mom would visit :)
my hands down favorite is the Snickerdoodle.
I, too, am a cookie monster. I could no more choose a favorite cookie than I could a favorite child. Here are a few faves: Starbucks Oatmeal and Raisin, store-bought Lemon Coolers, coconut macaroons, no-bake chocolate oatmeal. . . Shall I go on?
Love Threadless tshirts - I already own several. These cookies look fantastic and I'm a huge fan of chocolate chip but my specialty is Snickerdoodles because they're my husband's favorite cookie.
Chocolate Chip! Can't wait to try this recipe out :)
I Love macadamia chocolate chip cookies...big big bite into them .... yummy..
Tie between gingerbread, molasses, butterscotch oatmeal, or decorated sugar cookies (light on the frosting) (my friend made for ones for our rehearsal dinner that looked like pies :)
What a fun t-shirt! My favorite cookie is a peanut butter m&m combination. I've loved them since I was a kid!
oatmeal white chocolate chip, oatmeal chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin..oatmeal!
Awesome giveaway. I will have to be biased because I created the cookie, plus it actually is so good that now it's my favorite. I love Filbert Snaps!
My favorite cookies are giant chocolate-chocolate chunk! YUM YUM YUM! The tee is adorable and I LOVE your recipes and photography----so inspiring!
I love a chewy ginger cookie, with chocolate chip as a runner up!
mmm, I love chocolate chip cookies, especially with oatmeal
Definitely love Threadless, my favorite cookie would have to be chocolate chip peanut butter cookies
36 hours with cookie dough in my fridge? Not bloody likely. Haha. I'd have to leave the house for those hours.
I am a huge fan of peanut butter kiss cookies, shortbread and my grandmom's oatmeal raisin. Her secret ingredient? Nutmeg!
Favourite cookie of all time? Definitely regular, plain old chocolate chip. With a huge glass of milk. Either still warm out of the oven, or cooled and crispy. Yum.
Love Milano cookies, but do not have the patience to make them... So I just stick to Chocolate chip.
If I'm making them, my favorite is the classic Tollhouse chocolate chip cookie (sans nuts).
If I'm buying them from a local shop, the winners are the salty oat cookie and chocolate salty oat cookie sold at my local tea house.
I will say, though, if I'd grown up with macarons, I could see them being my favorite.
My favorite cookies are the 36-hour chocolate chip cookies but I don't make them gluten-free.
Such a fun t-shirt. Aside from loving chocolate chip cookies my other favorites are my Grandma's Black Walnut Slice Cookies. She no longer bakes but now I make them for everyone at Christmas.
i can't (never!) resist Indonesian traditional cookies. I do love Chocolate chip cookies, but my fav always my childhood cookie indulgent. my all time fav was called Nastar.look a truffle like, some round shape and some oval shape. Its a slightly sweet dough with cooked grated fresh Pineapple-sugar-cinnamon filling (cooked until no water in it,so it can be shaped). This cookie will so much popular when festive days in Indonesia (Ied Mubarak,Christmast,Chinese New Year) its a must cookie to have for every family in Indonesia during the festive days..The exotic and fresh of pineapple filling blend perfectly with slightly nice crumbly cookie dough.. Nice comfort cookie.
I will still love to eat them after 5's !
Awesome picts as usual,Helen.
That shirt is so cute! It reminds me of that kid's book, "If you give a mouse a cookie" ...
Asking me to name my favorite cookie is liking asking a mother to pick a favorite child.
I first learned how to make Snickerdoodles. Oatmeal cookies are highly prized to me. And Gingersnaps. And Chocolate Mexican cookies filled with dulce de leche. Meringues are also delicious. And ATK's Triple Chocolate Cookies.
I think I have a problem.
Oatmeal raisin. No, wait--peanut butter with chunky peanuts. No, wait, ginger snaps (I have THE BEST recipe). No, wait--almond macaroons. Got milk?
Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies are my favorite. Hands down. I wonder if I can add oats to this recipe and it still come out just as perfect?!?
Chewy lemon sugar cookies are my favorite cookie.
Have to say that my favorite cookie is the oreo. Though I've made homemade versions that came out well and I was glad to know what was in them, I think it's funny that no variation really improves on the original - double stuff, chocolate, vanilla - doesn't matter. It cannot be improved upon.
I love gingersnaps!
Oatmeal chocolate chip! Thanks for the giveaway!
Such yummy treats and a way-too-cute t-shirt!
My favorite cookie - snickerdoodle
I love snickerdoodles!
I love peanut butter cookies...chunky...with the criss-cross pattern...and occasionally with a peanut butter cup in the middle. Yummers!
Cookies....!!!! I am ENAMORED with the first photograph...soft sexy lighting of cookies...who knew?
I have to admit to reading those irratating and sometimes amusing 'junk' emails passed on from friends and family, and found THE most delicious chocolate chip/flake recipe. It makes an ENORMOUS amount (something in the region of 120 cookies), but they never ever have lasted more than a week in our home! Sometimes it pays to read between the 'important' emails :)
I love anzac cookies, they remind me of my grandma and good times in Mooloolaba. Beautiful recipe! I always like something that takes a bit more time!
Favorite cookie? Ha! Whichever one happens to be in front of me! No really.... ummmmmmm, Thomas Keller's homemade nutter butter recipe is a current fave for sure. Also... I love Threadless! I have collected about a dozen tees over the past few years.
Mmmmm, great great grandma's molasses cookies, shortbread and oatmeal cookies of any kind!
Nothing beats snickerdoodles!
I love Threadless too! my favorite cookies are Amaretto Cookies! - soon to be posted up on my blog :)
I love either chocolate chip or ginger molasses cookies.
My favorite cookies is the one I'm eating at the time. YUM!
Plain cookies of any sort.
Dipped into a plethora of flavorful viscous partners. :3
oatmeal chocolate chip craisin!
I love rugelach! Threadless is so neat. I entered in their threadcakes contest. It was a lot of fun.
love chocolate chips cookies but also love butter cookie and cookies with fruit in the middle! delish!
36 hours? WOW! This must really be delicious!
mmm your cookies look so good! but being from hawaii, i have to my favorite is a tie between a chocolate-dipped macadamia nut shortbread cookie or an arare (japanese rice cracker) cookie, which pairs salty and sweet very nicely :).
So cute! I want to get these for my kids. Too bad their sizes are all sold out, but I'll keep my eyes open.
My favorite is a toss up between chocolate chip and white chocolate macadamia.
I love chewy cookies of any kind!
M<y favorite cookies would have to be ginger oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. An uncommon combination, but hearty and tasty.
I love Threadless tshirts, adorable designs and comfy shirts! and those cookies sound delicious
Chocolate chip cookie has got to be best and the more "monster" they are, the better. Plus not forgetting a cold glass of milk on the side!
Threadless is fabulous. They moved part of their offices to Boulder, CO (where I live) which is even more exciting.
My favorite cookie recipe is oatmeal raisin. Mmm! But really, there's no cookie I wouldn't eat :)
I missed chocolate chip cookies so much when I was in France last year!
What a fabulous giveaway! My favorite cookie right now is a granola cookie from Runner's World magazine (of all places!) - you can find the recipe on my blog!
Viennese Christmas Treats. A yummy butter and hazelnut cookie. I make a sandwich out of 2 and fill the middle with raspberry jam or chocolate. Wouldn't be the holidays without them.
Macademia and white chocolate!!! I love that combination even though it's really sweet.
